Everyone knows how training points work, the higher your pirates level compared to your companion the more a point is worth. And if you are only a couple of levels above then your companion will get part of a level when training. However, these partial levels stop once the companion is able to get 2 levels per point. Gaining pirate levels keeps the training amount at 2 levels until you hit a certain point when it changes to 3 levels.
My question is why? Why do you stop giving partial levels?
I think this is the cause of why many people think the cap on training levels is 2.
