Clans?

I think I saw a few posts about joining clans and I ever so often hear people speaking of clans in-game. Does Pirate101 have a clan system or is this clan speak unofficial and just for fun? Other way it might be fun to be in one so perhaps they should add a clan system, hm?

Well It is very unofficial. The rules state no guilds or player alliances so this is just for fun.

Clans are unofficial they are a group of people generally destroying boats and helping each other like a group. Hope this helps. Practical Kai Chamberlain level 57 privateer
