I lost my connection, but...

I lost connection towards the end of a battle, getting the lost connection message, so I guess the game kept going since I left it open for a bit trying to fix my connection. When I quit out then logged back on, I apparently won the match because My arrow was pointing to the next objective of my quest. It was kinda weird...
