Ridolfo and Iago

A while ago I made a spread sheet of all the crown shop companions stats(i know, right?) I was bored the other day and i picked it up and read it. I saw that Ridolfo had more weapon power, dodge, and armor than Iago, and that they had about the same armor agility and health. AND Ridolfo gets one more promotion than Iago does.

So tell me this: Why is Ridolfo, who is in many respects better, cheaper than Iago?

Probably because you have to do a sidequest (that is pretty obscure). In literally the most annoying world, Valencia. Where as everybody unlocks Iago through the story line

Ridolfo is unlocked through a side quest, and since you already had to go through a quest to unlock him, he is cheaper.
