It adds itself to the date of your first membership. I buy it on sale all the time when it is close to my renewal date and it always transfers smoothly.

If you purshace membership before the other expired, you will be upgraded to it.

It adds onto the end of your current subscription. Say I bought a 12 month and had 9 months remaining. If I bought 1 month now I would have 10 months remaining.
