Purchasing new houses?

Are the new houses (Sharpshooter's Citadel, Commodore's Garrison, etc.) being sold only for Crowns or are we be able to buy them for Gold and, if so, where?

The new class houses are available for gold, in the crown shop select the one you want and then next to crown cost in lower right of window click gold. It will show the gold price and allow you to use your gold from there to purchase.
