Apparently the new thing is to announce that it's your birthday to everyone and fish for a free gift. Two things:

1. We've heard this already(since Gifting was added) and...

2. Don't do this.

This type of thing will be in any game that has gifting. Best to just ignore them and move on. I usually Just say Happy Birthday then go on my way.

Generally, I ignore them, yes. I like the ones that try to sneak it on ya. Like, so a friend of mine sent me a tribal pack for my birthday.
I say, 'it's good to have good friends!' Then ignore.
